TDP Women's wing chief Roja quits party

Hyderabad, Sept 7 (PTI) Telugu Desam Party Women's wing president and yesteryear actress of Telugu films R K Roja today quit the party.

In a letter to the TDP headquarters, Roja expressed her gratitude for providing her an opportunity to serve the party for ten years.

At the same time, she lamented the 'injustice' meted out to her in allocation of party ticket in the 2004 and 2009 Assembly elections much against her preferences. "Despite knowing everything, party president N Chandrababu Naidu failed to do any justice to me," she regretted.

Roja felt no justice would be done to people like her, who toiled sincerely for the party. "I never ever imagined that I will have to quit the TDP one day. But, given the circumstances, I am forced to leave the party," she added.
